From October, 23rd, 2018:
This is a portrait of my friend Dean, on September 17th he passed away, we hadn't spoken since early August, we were friends for close to 12 years, there'd be times where there would be large gaps of not speaking to each other due to life in general getting in the way, whenever we would catch up on things we'd spend a lot of time talking about new bands we discovered and what concerts we've been to, we'd always get each other into new music, he was as nerdy and passionate as I am when it comes to music, he lived in Michigan so we always would email each other, we met through our common love of the Smashing Pumpkins, it was the first thing we bonded over as friends, we had a brotherly friendship, he was one of the first people to ever encourage me with writing and my art, we were both young aspiring writers when we met, he believed in me and I believed in him, words can't describe what he meant to me and what he'll always mean to me. He died tragically due to a car accident, I'm at a loss of words to really say how much this breaks my heart. The last conversation we had was about the Smashing Pumpkins which is eerie because of how we met. I will miss you Dean, you were always there when I needed someone, you are my spiritual brother, you will always be in my heart. I love you man.
